The infrastructure supporting HollyWood South and Louisiana’s movie industry continues to grow with the opening of Millennium Studios this month in Shreveport. Millennium Studios opened with two sound stages totaling more than 25,000 square feet, over 14,000 square feet of office space, hair/ makeup room, construction mill, and much more. They also have a full service prop house and production service company which offers integral support to productions while shooting in Louisiana, including 70 graphic artists already working! In effect, the company can handle production, post-production and visual effects in-house.
Services at Millennium Studios include: Film related sales and rentals, props – over 20,000 sq ft of more than 10,000 items ranging from furniture to artwork to custom built sets, specialty items including hospital set, office sets, lots of prop money, various type of drug paraphernalia, wardrobe – over – 2000 sq ft of wardrobe, fleet of picture cars and passenger cars, trailer rentals, office equipment, and more.
Millenium also plans to add a second phase to the studios if all goes well.
