New Orleans Technology Biotech Startups On Display Next Week
On May 17, the New Orleans BioInnovation Center (NOBIC) is holding their Technology Showcase to display the cutting edge bio technologies spinning out of local universities.
NOBIC Interns will pitch the companies they have been working on throughout 2011., which include Orthopeptide, enVivaTech, Scout Diagnostics, MiniVax, Home Point Testing, WibiWorks and Chosen Diagnostics.
The Showcase will also feature two seminars on attracting investment for your startup, which include “The Art of the Start: How to Get Noticed By Investors” and “Beyond the Pitch: On the Road to a Successful Deal.” Jenn Hartt, an authority in life science technology investing and a partner at Ben Franklin Technology Partners, will present the second seminar.
The afternoon ends with an opportunity to meet some fellow biotech enthusiasts over refreshments and drinks. For anyone interested in the Biotech startup scene in New Orleans, this is a great opportunity to learn more and get involved. You can learn more about the event here.
