Good Mornin’

This week is the first week we’re publishing with new contributors. Still a work in progress, but soon you’ll have more events and a broader perspective on the New Orleans startup ecosystem thanks to the new contributors. I’ll intro them in the coming weeks.

Last Friday marked a big day for startups as Gov. Jindal signed the Angel tax credit into law, which should unlock additional funding for local startups. Liveset had a successful production of the Civil Wars show on Friday night with its first paid live event. Have you heard of Neighborland yet, one of the newest companies in New Orleans? Also, stay tuned for the launch of Rushease.com, by Tulane law school student, Katie VanDyk. (thx Zach Kupperman)

Please remember to email me if you have any news to share or events you want to make it into the StartupDigest.
