Call For Speakers: Tribecon, Local Interactive Conference Due September 15th

Tribecon is a one day conference focused on building strong communities and leveraging online tools to create powerful movements. Tribecon was first organized by Chris Schultz (Voodoo Ventures, Launchpad) and Tiffany Starnes (FSC Interactive) in 2009 as an interactive conference alongside the VOODOO Music Experience.

This year the theme of the conference is “Unplugged” and it will take place on October 27th, 2011 at City Park. The call for speakers is currently open and will close on September 15th with speakers notification by September 30th.

Previous speakers have included nationally known individuals such as Ben Huh of Pet Holdings (parent company of I Can Has Cheezburger?), Baratunde Thurston of The Onion, Micki Krimmel of NeighborGoods.net, and Jonathan Hull from Ning. Many speakers are also local entrepreneurs and community members such as Chris Schultz, Andrew Larimer, and New Orleans ex-pats Brian Oberkirch and Taylor Davidson.
