The Entrepreneur’s Organization and LSU’s Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute are joining forces to present a September 30th, 2011 seminar on the Louisiana Film Industry. The seminar features Marty Sixkiller, Research and Development Supervisor at DreamWorks and Louisiana native.
Marty will share his story and give a presentation on career opportunities in computer animation. As a part of the seminar, attorneys from Kean Miller, will present information that effects the film industry in Louisiana. Phyllis Sims will present on film tax credits and Sonny Chastain will present on intellectual property in digital media.
The event is part of the ongoing Louisiana Entrepreneurship Day series in Baton Rouge which has previously featured executives from Redbox, FedEx, and many local entrepreneurs.
Louisiana film and digital media tax credits have been an integral part of establishing Louisiana as “Hollywood South.” Several businesses, including Electronic Arts, Gameloft, and Quixote Studios.
