SENO Presents Tax-Filing Workshop Next Tuesday

A tax season preparedness workshop will be held in New Orleans on Tuesday, November 1st, 2011.

Social Entrepreneurs of New Orleans (SENO) is presenting a workshop for early-stage for-profit and non-profit businesses on Tuesday, November 1st, 2011. The workshop will cover preparedness for tax-filing, including document management, payroll taxes, Forms 1099, and various reporting requirements. The workshop provides an opportunity for start-ups to go over general tax basics and pose questions to a CPA.

The workshop will be presented by Beverly R. Nichols, CPA. Bev serves as Tax Director and Director of Employee Benefits Services at Bourgeois Bennett. She joined the Firm in 1972 following attendance at the University of Southwestern Louisiana and employment with a Lafayette CPA firm.

The workshop will be held from 5:30 – 7:30 pm in the first floor board room at the IP building: 643 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA. Attendees must register through the online form by clicking here. The event is sponsored by the Louisiana Office of Community Development, which means attendees are required to bring a picture i.d. and fill out two short forms to certify your business/individual income.
