Federated Sample raises a $2.8 Million series A round from local and national VCs: Big news broke this afternoon with New Orleans-based Federated Sample announcing $2.8 million in series A funding. The round was led by Sopris Capital, a New York-based VC firm. Voodoo Ventures, a local VC firm and previous investor in Federated Sample also participated in the round.

Governor Jindal Declares November 11th-18th Louisiana Entrepreneurship Week: Governor Bobby Jindal has officially declared November 11th – November 18th to be Louisiana Entrepreneurship Week to coincide with Baton Rouge and Global Entrepreneurship Week.
