Pollbob acquires Misterpoll, featured in Techcrunch

Pollbob, co-founded by Silicon Bayou News’ founder Zach Kupperman, was featured in TechCrunch yesterday after announcing the acquisition of MisterPoll, a more established polling platform.

While Pollbob is a relatively young company, launching in 2011, MisterPoll was created in 1998 as a side project. Pollbob’s purpose in acquiring MisterPoll is to roll MisterPoll’s large, existing user-base into the Pollbob platform.

Pollbob boasted 7,000 active users prior to the acquisition. MisterPoll has over 250,000 registered users, but an unknown number of active users.

Zach explained to TechCrunch that Pollbob plans to continue acquiring other online polling companies as a growth strategy to build up the Pollbob user base.
