Brees-backed ‘Nine Brand’ Launches Today

NINE Brand, the apparel venture co-founded by Drew and Brittany Brees, launches today online on ninebrand.com.  Products will also be sold in select regional boutiques and at a pop-up shop on game day at the corner of Loyola and Poydras.   Check out Drew’s video to learn about the inspiration for the inaugural shirt, the ALL IN tee.

9% of net proceeds from all Nine Brand products will be donated to the Brees Dream Foundation to support organizations focused on resilience.  Proceeds from the “ALL IN” tee will be donated to organizations focused on Hurricane Isaac recovery in the Gulf Coast region.

Brees announced the venture in May and, with the help of the Idea Village, went through a rigorous process of hiring a local CEO to help guide the company.  They hired Chip Rosen, a New Orleans native and former apparel executive that helped launched apparel brands for J-Lo and Beyonce.

NINE’s product debut features a Special Edition line, the “ALL IN” tee, which Silicon Bayou has learned was forged from this tumultuous off-season and inspired by the approach the community has always taken in the face of adversity.  NINE Brand tells us that it is based on the mindset that, no matter what the circumstances, we are all in this together as a community, a region, and a team.
