New Orleans has something new on the tech horizon, the first ever Tech Ambassador Program via 504ward. The program is searching for New Orleanians that have connections to techies outside of the city and will hopefully be able to bring that talent here. Technology companies can also participate by signing up here.

Applications for the Tech Ambassador Program are due October 1st, 2012 and the Ambassadors Event, where program members will learn how to woo friends and techies to the city, will be on October 16th, 2012. The event will be host to top tech CEOs who will share all you need to know to bring in the talent.

This program is designed for anyone with connections to people with tech skills, but do not need to be tech focused themselves. According to the co-organizer of the tech meetup Net2NO, Adele Tiblier, this could include anyone in your old college crowd, professional peers, or anyone looking for a new and exciting opportunity in a city bustling with technology. There are hundreds of great-paying, already-open tech jobs here.

If you haven’t already, sign up for 504ward’s email blast and Net2NO’s page on meetup.com so you don’t miss a thing.
