Idea Village Announces 43 New Orleans-Based Startups Pitching During NOEW 2013

The Idea Village recently announced the 43 companies pitching during the various NOEW competitions. The fifth annual NOEW will take place March 16-22, 2013 at Gallier Hall downtown. So far, more than 780 local entrepreneurs have registered for the 2013 Season’s educational,  consulting, and capital programs. The Idea Village expects this year’s NOEW to be ten times the size it was in its first year, 2009, showcasing the startup community through 55 events.

Cordina Challenge Seeks Jefferson Parish Entrepreneurs for Pitch Competition

Once a member of the Idea Village IDEAxcelerator class, frozen beverage company Cordina has since expanded and has created a pitch competition of their own by teaming up with the Jefferson Economic Development Commission (JEDCO). Now, they are focusing on finding entrepreneurs in Jefferson Parish to assist by providing direct capital and business development services. The Cordina Challenge, as it has been named, will officially kick off on March 19th, 2013 during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week.

Multifamily Industry Leader 365 Connect Integrates Online Leasing Platform

Two leaders in the multifamily industry teamed up this week when online technology platform provider 365 Connect integrated its Online Leasing platform with profit optimization solutions company Rainmaker LRO™. Two joint customers, representing 50,000 units, will currently benefit from the integration, which delivers consistent pricing, provide reduced data-input error rates, and will improve overall operational efficiencies.

GNO Preps for 8th Annual Satellite Center Video and Animation Festival

The Satellite Center Video & Animation Festival (SCVAF), which showcases the creativity of high school students from the Greater New Orleans area, is preparing for its 8th annual festival to be held in April 2013.
