nola meetup kooziesGil Hildebrand is the featured speaker for this month’s NOLA Meetup, which will be held at Lucy’s Retired Surfer Bar at 6:00 pm, tomorrow night, May 21st, 2013. He will share his three unconventional ways to get your next project started faster.

Gil is a New Orleans native and the technical cofounder of the social publishing platform Squidoo.com, which gets over 30 million visitors per month. He will also discuss his newest venture, the “Kickstarter for teams” platform CollabFinder.com.

NOLA Meetup attendees will hear from Gil about his story of becoming a tech entrepreneur and the many curveballs along the way (think Hurricane Katrina). After time in New York, Colorado and Italy, Gil returned to New Orleans because he believes there’s no better place to be.

Gil will also discuss how he enjoys giving back to the local tech community by mentoring young entrepreneurs and building a completely free platform for helping creative projects become a reality.

Gil says he is a, “self-taught nerd with a passion for learning. I thrive in adversity and stagnate in comfort. I push boundaries. I am a vessel of unbounded tenacity, always ready for the challenges ahead.”

So, buckle up, it’s going to be another great NOLA Meetup! Pre register online now at meetup.com/nolameetup.
