Entrepreneurial Pitch Competition to Take Place During DigiFest South in Shreveport

DigiFest South is an annual digital arts festival and tech expo that celebrates how digital technology combined with artistic creativity has helped our modern society progress.

The festival takes place annually in Shreveport and includes special featured events such as two pitch workshops hosted by the Bossier Arts Council and Winrock International, and a G60 elevator pitch contest happening in August prior to the September 17th festival date.

The events are geared to help start-up entrepreneurs perfect their business idea pitches to potential investors and partners and give them maximum exposure for accelerating their business into the next stage of development.

On the 17th of September, another event, similar in format to other investor pitch events held across the country, DigiPitch will provide participating entrepreneurs with an opportunity to present their idea to angel investors, venture capitalist, and other potential supporters from across the Southern United States. “The idea is to give them the very best opportunity to find funding and other support for their business venture,” said Justin Martin, founder of Juma Labs.

Organizers are seeking applications from companies in a range of stages including conceptual, product in development, prototype ready, full product ready, and generating sales.

Interested entrepreneurs must apply for DigiPitch by July 31st, 2014.
