Just moments after the announcement email from Uber, cars were available to request in New Orleans.
Today, the on-demand car request service Uber launched a line of Black Cars and SUVs in New Orleans. Since last year, the company has been receiving both praise and backlash for its efforts to legally operate in the city.

Starting this weekend, our UberBLACK and UberSUV options will hit the streets to take you and your krewe from Algiers to the French Quarter, Uptown to Gentilly, Downtown to the 9th Ward and all over the Crescent City in style.
