Companies are eligible if they are developing a technology in the life sciences, such as biotechnology, healthcare, environmental science, advanced materials, or other industries.

“Summaries will be scored by independent judges on various criteria, including market analysis, product description, and management team,” explains NOBIC. Finalists will then receive pitch coaching by the BioInnovation Center’s commercialization consulting team before the public BioChallenge event.

Finalists will pitch at a public event for a chance to win $25,000. The pitch event takes place following the Center’s annual Innovation Louisiana life sciences entrepreneurship conference taking place November 16-17.

To apply, high-growth startups fitting the eligibility criteria should submit an executive summary by September 15 at www.neworleansbio.com/biochallenge.
