Praeses Receives Multiple Awards for Its Software Development Services

Shreveport-based Praeses has recently won two awards for its innovative software development services and solutions.

PraesesThe Business Technologies Division has been awarded a position on the National Shipbuilding Program Business Processes panel with Marinette Marine, DRS Advanced Marine Technology Center, and Gibbs & Cox for $150,000 to produce a mobile application to increase the efficiency of the deadweight survey process.

“The project team hopes to eliminate the double and triple entry of data that occurs to support the deadweight survey,” says Praeses. “In addition, the team hopes to eliminate paper-based processes around the deadweight survey and begin transitioning to a more digital process.”

Additionally, the Praeses Government Division has been awarded three separate contracts to help build enterprise tools to support the Air Force’s new strategy. According the company, the first two contracts, awarded in phases, are to develop an error management and reporting tool to provide visibility for all system errors. The last contract tasks Praeses with developing a set of tools to analyze existing systems, including legacy mainframe systems, to provide a roadmap for system modernization or replacement.

“Together these projects will aid in modernizing the Air Force Logistics information environment, and will also support a suite of products and services offered by Praeses to provide similar capabilities to other government agencies and large commercial enterprises,” said Robert Parker, Director of Business Technologies at Praeses.
