New Orleans Patent Attorney Firm Named Best in United States

Juristat has reported that Garvey, Smith, Nehrbass & North, LLC, a local New Orleans patent firm, has been ranked No.1 in the United States in allowance percentage of 2015 patent applications in Technology Center 3600.

The top 10 firms were ranked by allowance rate, with Garvey, Smith, Nehrbass & North coming in with a 92.5% allowance. According to Juristat, the average allowance rate in TC 3600 in 2015 is 61.2%, which is below the USPTO average of 72%.

The firm’s law practice is limited to patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and related intellectual property matters. Since the practice launched in 1998, they have obtained over 1000 patents for clients, which are often time sensitive.

“Due to recent changes in US patent law, it is more important than ever to file patent applications as soon as possible after an invention is made if one wishes to maximize one’s chances that meaningful patent protection can be obtained,” explains the firm.
