Integrated Marketing Agency Peter Mayer Advertising has announced the Peter Mayer Marketing Prize, adding a $20,000 award to startups participating in the Blackstone Big Idea during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW).
For the last four years, NOEW has culminated in the Blackstone Big Idea, a crowd-driven pitch competition. The 5th annual competition will take place on Fulton Street on Friday, March 18 from 6-8pm, and will award an additional $25,000 to a New Orleans-based company.
The Peter Mayer Marketing Prize will provide marketing services based on on need, encompassing anything from logo and web design to brand strategy work and public relations services.
“We are continually inspired by the entrepreneurial and tech culture here in the city,” said Josh Mayer, Chief Creative Officer of Peter Mayer. “As a leading agency, our involvement with The Big Idea is an exciting opportunity that we hope will help contribute to the ecosystem for entrepreneurship.”
“This award gives the recipient exposure to a level of agency services that they might not otherwise have access to. Plus, our people are hungry to use their marketing skills to help New Orleans grow and thrive. We looked at the Idea Village as the perfect partner.”
Last year, over 3,300 people attended the event and allocated a total of $50,300 in funding to 12 entrepreneurs.
