15 Social Ventures Graduate from the Propeller Growth Accelerator

Propeller is a social innovation incubator dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs in New Orleans tackle issues in areas such as water, education, health, and food. The organization has announced the graduation of 15 ventures from its inaugural Growth Accelerator program.

The Growth Accelerator is a three-month program designed to grow established New Orleans ventures with scalable solutions pressing social issues.

Through a partnership with the New Orleans Startup Fund and Village Capital, Propeller chose to offer equity investment to the top three ventures as decided by a peer selection process.

Two for-profit ventures Whetstone Education and eNre each received a $25,000 investment and one non-profit venture Youth Rebuilding New Orleans received a $5,000 grant to expand their service to New Orleanians.

The 2016 Growth Accelerator class includes Clear Health Analytics, eNre, Grow Dat Youth Farm, Hanging Gardens, The Healthy School Food Collaborative, Hollygrove Market and Farm, Martin Ecosystems, Operation Spark, ORA Estuaries, Royal Castle Child Development Center, Sankofa, TrueSchool Studio, Whetstone Education, XS Martial Arts Dojo, and Youth Rebuilding New Orleans.
