Father-Son Duo Launch True Crime Podcast, First Episodes Focused on New Orleans

Ron Cutler has had major success in the radio business, running a dozen radio shows and services over the years. He and his son Max have launched a new podcast called Unsolved Murders: True Crime Stories, the flagship series of the Parcast Network.

The first three episodes focus on the Axeman of New Orleans, a serial killer who was active in the Crescent City in the early 1900s.

Unsolved Murders podcasts are available in the Apple iTunes podcast store, Google Play, Stitcher, TuneIn Radio and other podcast directories.

Both of the Cutlers have always had an interest with radio. Max says it was always his dream to start a company so he doubled majored in Entrepreneurship and Finance at The University of Arizona. He and his father’s storytelling capabilities, combined with experience in the industry and in business, led them to launch the podcast.

“Two of my passions have always been mystery and true crime,” Max told Silicon Bayou News. “It’s always easier to produce a show that you are passionate about. Unsolved Murders: True Crime Stories encompasses both of these passions plus production and entertainment value that I believe is lacking with our competition. Hopefully the podcast community continues to respond positively to this new type of format.”

It typically takes the Cutlers three to four weeks from the time they start doing the research for an episode to the time they record. “We have a very strict production cycle we like to stick to. First we research the topic and then I block the episode. The writers then write the first of multiple drafts. Once our team feels the script is ready, we then cast voice actors and record. I am extremely lucky to work with such talented people.”

Within the next year the father-son duo will have history shows, news shows and paranormal shows. They spend a ton of time on research and development hoping to attract and grow new listeners to the podcast community.
