Coworking Space Launch Pad Announces New Location

Launch Pad is known for being the original coworking space in New Orleans, and they have huge news. After seven years in the IP Building, known as a hub for entrepreneurs, Launch Pad is moving to 400 Poydras Street in downtown New Orleans.

The new Launch Pad space is being developed into a 22,500 square foot modern and collaborative coworking space ideal for connecting entrepreneurs, business owners, and other members of the community. Owners plans to create a network throughout the country that leverages startup ecosystems outside of Silicon Valley, New York, and others.

Launch Pad is currently on three floors of its current location at 643 Magazine Street and will be transitioning into a single-floor layout to fully integrate the community through a large common space, kitchen and bar. The new space in New Orleans will be completed in February 2017.

Last year, Launch Pad announced it was opening a location in Charleston in January 2016. At the time, the team noted the vibrant tech community and great quality of life in the South Carolina city.

“This new space will allow us to continue to grow the New Orleans community, as well as position us for future expansion in additional cities outside of NOLA and Charleston,” said CEO and cofounder Chris Schultz. “The new layout will be focused on creating an even more collaborative community, with additional networking and professional development opportunities – it will truly set the bar for any additional expansions both throughout and beyond the Southeast.”

Barre Tanguis, co-founder of Launch Pad, says they have a method to the cities they choose to open locations in. “We are deliberately targeting quality of life cities, where people are choosing to live, and bringing their jobs and businesses with them,” said Barre Tanguis, co-founder of Launch Pad. “Charleston and New Orleans present challenges to entrepreneurs, who need to be connected to the Bay Area and New York. We can do that through the Launch Pad network.”

Launch Pad will offer the same membership options at the new space, including affordable coworking, permanent desk space, and private offices. Existing members will get priority membership signup privileges. To reserve a spot at the new space, click here.
