Baton Rouge Pitch Competition to Host Final Event of the Year

PitchBR, a leading pitch competition in Baton Rouge, is closing out the year with one final event where three founders will pitch their innovative ideas to a live audience. The event will take place at 5:30pm on November 17.

The PitchBR Finale will include MEMO, OfficerReports.com and Lubricity Labs, all competing for a possible $250,000 cash prize from Innovation Catalyst.

“While there’s only one grand prize,” shared organizers, “all Pitchers will benefit from this experience.” Each of the three entrepreneurs will receive coaching from business consultants and successful entrepreneurs, exposure and publicity for their ideas, and business connections to non-funding resources, such as professional services donors and providers.

Get to know each of the companies below:

  • MEMO is on a mission to change the world of fundraising. The application takes the beautiful photos you capture every day and creates a personalized photo product that is shipped directly to you while supporting the school or cause of your choice.
  • OfficerReports.com is a Baton Rouge-based creator of an industry leading security guard management software platform. Their CEO, Courtney Sparkman, started OfficerReports.com after owning a security guard company with his father and realizing the potential for managing security guard company operations more efficiently.
  • Lubricity Labs, LLC was founded by Dr. Boyce Clark who used his background in Biogeochemistry to create an innovative line of hair care products that treat frizzy, unruly hair without sacrificing the hair’s natural body and curl.

“By attending PitchBR, you’ll join a group of business leaders, creatives, entrepreneurs, and all-of-the-aboves, who are making entrepreneurship more accessible to everyone, regardless of status or circumstance,” explains organizers.
