Silicon Bayou News has teamed up with LookFar and Trepwise to bring the community a free screening of Generation Startup on December 7 at the New Orleans Jazz Market.
Generation Startup, which celebrates risk-taking, urban revitalization, and diversity, follows six recent college graduates around who put everything on the line to build startups in Detroit. The six featured entrepreneurs are all Venture For America (VfA) Fellows, a national program that college grads with jobs in startups and early-stage companies.
Venture for America was started because entrepreneurship is at a record low. Attendees will get to mix and mingle with local VfA fellows, hearing their experiences at New Orleans startups and why they chose to either stay in or move to the city in the first place.
Specialty cocktails will be served courtesy of trepwise, a food truck will be set up outside, and live music starts at 9pm after the screening!
