Pitch to Win $25,000 at The Big Idea During New Orleans Entrepreneur Week

New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW) is the festival that celebrates entrepreneurship, innovation, and advanced thinking in the Crescent City each spring. This year, from March 19-24, The Idea Village, producers of the weeklong extravaganza, are expecting the highest level of engagement since launching the festival many years ago.

Each year NOEW culminates at The Big Idea, a crowd-drive pitch competition with major cash up for grabs.

Through a nola.com poll, the community will vote for their favorite startups out of 20 semi-finalists to make it to The Big Idea. The main event on March 24 will feature 10 startups who then will be narrowed down by a crowd vote to three and will pitch for the grand prize of $25,000.

Applications must be:

  • Organized as a for-profit venture
  • Located in the 10-parish region of the greater New Orleans region
  • Generating less than $500,000 in revenue
  • Employing fewer than 5 full time employees
  • Have not previously participated in The Big Idea

This is a great opportunity to get your startup seen by thousands of NOEW attendees. Apply by January 20th here.

In 2015, over 3,300 people attended the event and allocated a total of $50,300 in funding to 12 entrepreneurs.
