Travelers and Treps Merge at Annual Women’s Travel Fest

New Orleans is getting yet another festival, this time with a travel twist. The two-day Women’s Travel Fest is scheduled for March 3-5, 2017 at the New Orleans Jazz Market.

The Women’s Travel Fest is a consumer event that helps women to explore the world and discover deeper meaning in their travels. All three of the last conferences sold out, says founder Kelly Lewis of Go! Girl Guides.

As it happens, many travelers and adventurers are also entrepreneurs. Keynotes include Pauline Frommer, President of Frommer’s Media, makers of the guidebooks, and Cassie de Pecol, the first woman to visit every country in the world.

Local entrepreneur and co-founder of creative studio Hop & Jaunt, Alyson Kilday, was an integral part of bringing the conference to New Orleans.

“We are so excited to bring this inspirational event to one of the most exciting cities in the country,” said Lewis. “Our main goal is to inspire and empower women to travel—and that starts by experiencing new cities wherever we go.”
