Accelerate Acadiana Launches to Support Growing Companies in Louisiana

Key players in the Louisiana entrepreneurial ecosystem have teamed up to launch a new accelerator program for growing businesses. Accelerate Acadiana was made possible by a $700,000 federal grant initiative and a partnership between INNOV8 Acadiana, a Community Foundation of Acadiana company, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and LEDA’s Opportunity Machine.

The free 14-week program is currently accepting applications through July 23. Eight companies will be selected to participate, gaining access to mentors, accredited investors, office space, and industry connections.

Our only request from the final eight is that accredited investors from across the state are allowed to invest in their success,” shared INNOV8.

Additionally, the program will kick-start a new entrepreneurial curriculum at the University this fall that will be open to students across all colleges.
