There’s Still Time to Apply to the New Orleans StartupBus

Entrepreneurs from all over will be convening in New Orleans after building a startup in 72-hours on a bus. StartupBus gives people the opportunity to build a product with a team of mostly strangers and then present at the grand finale, which will be held at Landing Zone in New Orleans this year.

The Big Easy will gather teams from buses that depart from seven cities including New York, San Francisco, Tampa, Akron, St. Louis, and Mexico City, and of course, New Orleans.

More than 200 entrepreneurs from over 25 teams are expected to compete, gaining a chance to pitch at the New Orleans finale to a panel of investors.

“With StartupBus, what seemed like a novelty at first quickly became a deep dive into the startup world. I gleaned a significant amount of startup know-how while making several lifelong business connections,” said Max Gaudin, a New Orleanian who participated in a 2012 StartupBus trip. He is organizing the local bus this year along with Alyson Kilday.

The buses will depart on July 31 and August 2. The New Orleans StartupBus is not yet full. Those interested in applying can do so via northamerica.startupbus.com.
