The New Orleans BioInnovation Center is now accepting applications for the annual BioChallenge, a pitch competition for life sciences startups from across Louisiana.
Over $50,000 in cash and investment prizes are available to BioChallenge participants who are developing new solutions in healthcare, engineering, biotech, and other life sciences verticals.
“This annual competition gives entrepreneurs the chance to present their bold ideas to receive expert feedback and possibly win capital to fund company growth,” shared the BioInnovation Center.
Eligible startups must not have received more than $1 million in investment funding to date.
Applications are open through September 15. Each will be scored and some will be selected for a semi-finalist round throughout October. The final pitch event will take place on November 8 in front of a panel of investors and industry expert judges as part of Innovation Louisiana.
“Previous finalists have been developing new tools, treatments, and solutions in cancer, pediatrics, digital health, advanced materials, and many other areas,” continued the BioInnovation Center.
