INNOV8 Acadiana provides resources, connections, events, and access to capital for entrepreneurs in the region. The organization has teamed up with the Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exhibition (LAGCOE) for the third annual Energy Innovators Pitch Challenge for energy entrepreneurs looking to connect with investors.

“Energy Pitch Challenge is a fun and exciting event that I would not miss as an up and coming innovator,” said Terry Frith, president and founder of Gordan Technologies. “If I were an entrepreneur with a new product I would apply, this will give you a unique opportunity to in front of investors,” he said. Gordan Technology was the winner of the 2016 Energy Innovators Pitch Challenge.

Eight finalists will be selected to participate in the live pitch competition on October 26, which is part of the larger LAGCOE 2017 event. A panel of investors will hear three minute pitches from each of the entrepreneurs at the Energy Innovators Pitch. One innovator will win the judges’ favorite award and another crowd favorite award is also available.

“Investors from around the state are motivated to invest in new energy related innovations coming for this exciting event,” said Pete Prados, INNOV8 Acadiana director. “Whether you are a startup or a thriving business with room for growth, now is the time to launch to the next level of success!”
