New Orleans is One of America’s Hottest Startup Cities

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce recently released their annual report of the 25 most innovative cities.

New Orleans made the top three highest rising city this year, up six spots from 2016 and ranking in at the 19th spot. The report measured density, talent, culture, capital, industry specialization, and connectivity of each city.

New Orleans, shared an infographic created by Free Enterprise, “led the rankings in connectivity and culture. Infused with a resilient spirit of innovation amid a continued rebound post-Katrina, entrepreneurs in the Big Easy cite its increasing focus on entrepreneurship and innovation as top priorities in the region.”

Atlanta and Dallas were the only two other cities that made a higher jump in rankings this year.
