Check Out Mardi Gras Virtually Through New 360 Degree Video

New Orleans-based marketing firm R&D Design is known around town for its virtual reality footage of festivals and events. This year, the company partnered with FOX 8 news to provide free Mardi Gras parade coverage through 360 degree video to viewers all over the world.

“New Orleans may be celebrating its 300th anniversary, but we’re leading the world technologically with this virtual reality event,” said David Holtman, managing partner at R&D Design.

Holtman said they typically utilize virtual reality footage to enhance consumer engagement for products and services, but was excited about the opportunity to partner with FOX 8 and share Mardi Gras with viewers everywhere.

“Providing viewers here at home and around the world with a chance to see and experience Mardi Gras using 360 video from our Facebook page makes sense,” said Tim Ingram, Vice President and General Manager of FOX 8. “We are happy to partner with R&D to make this VR and 360 video experience possible for our viewers.”
