Fund 17 to Celebrate Micro-Entrepreneurs at Entrepreneur Showcase

Fund 17 is a nonprofit organization that seeks to create economic opportunity in the 17 wards of New Orleans by providing capital access and 1-on-1 business development support to micro-entrepreneurs.

The organization will be celebrating the spring cohort of entrepreneurs on Tuesday, April 24 at their first Entrepreneur Showcase at Roux Carre.

“Our goal at Fund 17 is to transform hustles into livelihoods and the showcased entrepreneurs represent the diverse kinds of businesses that are central to this mission,” said Haley Burns, founder and Executive Director of Fund 17.

The entrepreneurs will be displaying their products at the Entrepreneur Showcase. Fund 17’s current cohort includes cleaning company Real-Clean, apparel company EqualiTees, Artice Creative Designs, which makes hand-crafted decor, and beverage companies Bissap Breeze and Healthy Sips.

“The upcoming showcase is the culmination of our Fellowship Program, which is a unique offering that immerses undergraduates in the local community while providing valuable business partnership to early-stage entrepreneurs,” continued Burns.
