New Orleans Tech Companies Graduate to Larger Workspaces

There has been no shortage of big tech announcements in New Orleans over the last couple years. From DXC Technology’s Digital Transformation Center news, to Accruent expanding to New Orleans from Austin, these companies are bringing hundreds of jobs to the Big Easy.

Software as a service (SaaS) company Align hired New Orleans-based Doug Walner as CEO in 2017, who has helped grow the company to its now 15 employees. Align recently made the move from co-working space Launch Pad to a 3,900 square foot office in The Barwil Building.

The company is a cloud-based business operating system designed to provide growing businesses with the framework and structure needed to meet company goals. The software is already used by more than 1,000 companies, so Align will continue to hire locally, including positions in software development, IT, and sales.

Accruent was also one of the companies that recently graduated from a co-working space to a larger downtown office. The company spent months at The Shop at the CAC, growing from one local employee to more than 50 at the time of the move. Accruent was originally set up there through a partnership with Greater New Orleans, Inc., the regional economic development organization that rents out office space at The Shop to businesses expanding to New Orleans.

Accruent currently has hundreds of open positions, and a couple dozen of those are job openings in New Orleans. They plan to hire upwards of 300 additional employees to support the overall company growth, greatly contributing to the New Orleans tech scene.
