International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners Relaunches in Louisiana

The International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (IAMCP) is the world’s largest community of Microsoft Partners. IAMCP’s mission is to maximize the business potential of our members by peer-to-peer networking, member advocacy, community outreach, and growth.

For the last several years, the Louisiana chapter of IAMCP has been inactive. Carlo MacDonald, President of Baton Rouge-based Exigo Technology Services has been spearheading the statewide relaunch.

MacDonald found enough interest with Louisiana companies and individuals to move forward with the kickoff, which happened earlier this year.

“We provide the industry’s best way to develop partner to partner business opportunities and accelerate growth,” shared IAMCP.

While the organization is now open to non Microsoft partners as well, MacDonald says one of the biggest benefits to joining the chapter for him is the relationship with other Microsoft partners across Louisiana and worldwide.

The Louisiana chapter is part of the Central group within the global organization, which includes chapters in Chicago, Dallas, Houston, and other locations.

“The second major benefit is getting a better window to Microsoft  partner services,” MacDonald told Silicon Bayou News. “As more and more manufacturers and distributors try to position themselves directly to the customer, we sometimes find ourselves competing with Microsoft directly.  We can be heard louder together than on an individual basis.”
