The New Orleans convention center has confirmed that it will host the 42,000-attendee CTIA Wireless conference in May 2012. The conference is a trade meeting for members of CTIA-The Wireless Association, an international nonprofit that represents the wireless communications industry.
The annual trade show is one of the largest technology events in the world and is where the wireless world meets each year for three days of intense business, learning and networking. Companies showcasing the latest in network and IP infrastructure, applications, handheld devices and mobile consumer electronics and enterprise and vertical market solutions exhibit, present, and network. Last year’s conference brought in speakers such as Hollywood’s James Cameron, and Twitter co-founder Biz Stone.
New Orleans has not hosted the citywide convention since 2005.
