Advantage Capital Partners, a New Orleans-based venture capital firm, has promoted two members of its New Orleans office. Justin Obletz has been promoted to Senior Vice President and S. Talmadge Singer was named Vice President.

The firm’s typical forms of investment include early stage, expansion equity, mezzanine financing, senior and subordinated loans and government-guaranteed lending. With offices and partners in New Orleans, St. Louis, New York and other U.S. cities, Advantage has raised more than $1.3 billion in institutional capital since 1992 and invested in companies located in geographic areas underserved by traditional capital.
Mr. Obletz joined the Advantage Capital in 2006. His responsibilities include deal flow screening, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring. He received his M.B.A. from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame.
Mr. Singer joined Advantage Capital in 2007 and provides assistance with the firm’s capital raising transactions, national expansion efforts, and regulatory issues. Mr. Singer graduated from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University and earned his B.A. degree in English from Louisiana State University.
