The Louisiana Immersive Technologies Enterprise (LITE) has launched a nationwide search for its Chief Executive Officer position. LITE is searching for its first full-fledged CEO to lead the 3-D visualization center in Lafayette. The agency’s interim CEO, Bob Twilley, has lead the organization since October.
LITE has hired Excelerant, a Lafayette-based management consultant firm, to assist with its search for a new CEO. The future CEO of LITE is responsible for all aspects of the administration, marketing, financing, operation, and management of LITE; and for effectively planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the business enterprise, educational, and governmental activities of LITE. The job advertisement will be running in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, the Chronicle of Higher Education, Monster.com and USA Today. The candidate search will also be listed on more than 150 newspaper, professional association, and economic development websites.
LITE was established as a political subdivision of the state with the approval and cooperation of the Louisiana Department of Economic Development, the Lafayette Economic Development Authority, and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. LITE serves the state by furthering education in immersive technologies, engaging in collaborative research involving immersive technologies, and by furthering the economic development of businesses and industries utilizing immersive technologies.
