Tomorrow kicks off the first annual LSU 100 in Baton Rouge! The LSU 100: Fastest Growing Tiger Businesses identifies, recognizes and celebrates the 100 fastest growing LSU-owned or LSU-led businesses in the world. The honorees include Zehnder Communications, InfiniEDGE Software, Gatorworks Web Design, The Olinger Group, and the Abita Brewing Company.
The event is a luncheon put on by LSU and the LSU Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute. The honorees are revered, and 10 specialist finalists will receive select awards.
To be considered for the LSU 100, the businesses must meet the following criteria: Companies included in the LSU 100 must meet the following requirements: have been in business for 5 years or more; have had verifiable revenues of $100,000 or more for the last calendar year; be a former LSU student and own at least 50% of the company or be the chief financial officer, president or managing partner; and operate in a manner consistent with the mission of LSU and the Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute. The event, which will begin at 11:30 a.m., will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 4728 Constitution Ave., Baton Rouge.
