The Advocate, a Baton Rouge, Louisiana newspaper, has partnered with Digital Technology International (DTI) to manage its content publishing infrastructure with DTI ContentPublisher and DTI Cloud.
The Advocate, founded in 1909, will have its content and software managed through DTI Cloud, DTI’s high-performance cloud publishing platform. DTI Cloud enables The Advocate to go online rapidly with its editorial system and without the capital expenditures required in an on-premises installation. The Advocate’s news team will use DTI ContentPublisher to create digital and mobile content, dynamic Web pages, including support for Open Source Web applications.
“The Advocate has long been the voice of the community in Baton Rouge. We have successfully served our community for many years with systems that have far exceeded their normal lifespan,” said Richard Shurley, CIO, The Advocate. “We wanted to find a system that would tightly integrate our news and digital operations. ”
DTI ContentPublisher will improve The Advocate’s editorial operational efficiencies by merging print and digital workflows across their news organization. DTI Cloud provides “future-proofing” because The Advocate will always be current with the latest DTI software and features. DTI Cloud offers The Advocate an opportunity to reduce costs and the ability to respond rapidly to the changing demands of digital news publishing and new devices such as mobile and tablet PCs, for example.
