Who wants $10,000? 100 Urban Entrepreneurs, a non-profit foundation that serves urban youth and promotes entrepeneurship, is holding a 60-Second Pitch Event today in New Orleans. The winner gets $10,000 and 8 weeks of mentorship.
The program has been on tour throughout the nation, looking for young people with strong ideas, a great work ethic and an unwavering desire to succeed. The group’s focus is on minorities and those from underserved and disadvantaged communities.

The 100 Urban Entrepreneurs team will work with recipients to develop their business idea and prepare it for a formal launch. The mentors provided to each company includes those with expertise in technology, finance, marketing, sales, strategy and legal, among other professional disciplines. Sean “Diddy” Combs is one of the mentors and principal funders, donating $100,000 to the organization.
