Last month, the Solomon Group, the live event design and management company that used to manage Le Petit Theatre, announced the expansion of its live event and multimedia installation services with the acquisition of Express Productions. With the addition of the 22-year-old local company and a substantial capital investment, Solomon Group becomes one of the region’s largest full-service live event and multimedia installation providers.
Construction is currently underway on a 30,000 square foot scenic fabrication and production services facility, complete with computer-based routing capabilities, large format digital graphics and multiple fabrication and finishing stations. In addition to scenic fabrication capabilities, Solomon Group will add a robust LED screen inventory and the latest in intelligent lighting and projection technology.
“We’ve worked hand in hand with Mark Tracy and his team at Express Productions for several years. The level of quality and professionalism they bring to any project is a great fit with Solomon Group,” said Gary Solomon, Jr., president of Solomon Group. “By adding their expertise, an unparalleled equipment inventory and the new fabrication facility, we can now offer a full-spectrum of production and installation services that is unmatched in the region.”
“Becoming part of Solomon Group gives us the resources to offer our clients new and exciting products previously unavailable in New Orleans,” added Mark Tracy, president of Express Productions. “The exceptional quality of the work Solomon Group has done and our experiences with them gave me a great deal of confidence in becoming part of this team.” Mark will remain with Solomon Group in a sales and leadership capacity.
Since its inception in 2009 and led by the cumulative talents of partners Solomon, Jonathan Foucheaux and Stephen Fink, Solomon Group has emerged as a leader in producing major installations throughout the region. Projects have included Champions Square, a permanent outdoor stage venue accommodating as many as 12,000 sports fans on Saints game days and the Stage Door Canteen at the WWII Museum, a state-of-the-art multimedia and live performance environment.
