PourLiving, the new daily deal startup for drink and nightlife specials, is launching this weekend at White Linen night. Anticipation is high, with over 300 people attended their pre-launch party in July. PourLiving co-founder and CEO Jay Jayakrishnan fills us in on what we can expect:
SBN: There’s been a lot of buzz surrounding PourLiving over the last month. When is the launch and what are you doing for it?
PourLiving is going live this weekend, so we are throwing a launch party at Bouche Wine Bar in the Warehouse District. The event will take place on Saturday after the White Linen night festivities, and we will have a ton of great drink specials and surprises in store. We’ll also have the red carpet rolled out for everyone who wants to smile for the cameras. Check out our facebook event page here.
SBN: Why should people sign up?
PourLiving is a daily deal site exclusively for local bar and nightlife specials. We want to help people avoid the clutter of deals that they’ll never buy and obviously help them save some cash during a night out on the town. More importantly, we want to build a community of like-minded people who enjoy having fun. PourLiving wants to become the destination people turn to when trying to decide how to get the most out of their night, so hopefully the products we roll out in the coming months will reflect that.
SBN: You held a pre-launch event last month, how has the response been since then?
The pre-launch went off really well, and our sign-ups have increased significantly. We think this company makes a lot of sense in a town like New Orleans, so hopefully people continue to get excited about it.
SBN: Is this bootstrapped or did you secure outside funding?
PourLiving is bootstrapping right now. If we gain some traction, we’ll look at outside funding to help us grow faster. We’re excited for the launch and hope to see everyone there!
