Louisiana Economic Development Association Offers Business Innovation Program for Young Entrepreneurs

The Louisiana Economic Development Association (LEDA) is enrolling young people ages 17-21 for a fall business camp as part of the Business Innovation Program. The program runs from 9AM -3PM on Saturdays throughout the fall of 2011. Students participating in the program will learn basic and intermediate business skills to prepare them for a fast-paced work environment and encourage future entrepreneurial endeavors.

The program was been developed in collaboration with business executives, consultants, entrepreneurs, technology professionals, educators, youth counselors and parents. According to LEDA materials, “The course that has emerged from this mastermind team will equip our sons and daughters with a working knowledge of the world of work, the economic system, domestic and global markets, career opportunities of the future, and entrepreneurship.”

Business Innovation Program Vital Details:

  • 10 session course; Each session runs from 9 AM – 3 PM on Saturdays.
  • Sessions will be held at UNO’s Lindy C. Boggs International Conference Center on the Lakefront in New Orleans.
