Queen of the nerds, @ChampSuperstar is hosting another rendition of Nerd Nite in New Orleans this evening. The event is taking place at BSI Comics (actually in Metairie, if we’re being honest) and starts at 7pm.
According to the national website, “Nerd Nite is an informal gathering at which nerds get together for nerdery of all sorts (well, mostly presentations and drinking).”
The local event this evening includes free beer and presentations from some of the Silicon Bayou’s most lauded nerds:
- @CrawfordComeaux – “Rapid Prototyping: Why you should be doing it & how.”
- @Samfetamine – “Calm Your Tits, or How I Learned to Quit Worrying and Love The New 52’s Sluttier Starfire.”
- @TheBryanDavis – “Han Shot First: An exploration of artists, fans, and the ownership of the works they love.”
There are also door prizes including a week of free co-working at Launch Pad, a gift certificate to BSI Comics, and a gift certificate to Capdeville. Attendees will also receive a discount on purchases at BSI.
