Want Your Twitter Name on an Olympic Athlete?

Nick Symmonds, a 2012 Olympian and member of the U.S. Track and Field Team currently ranked no. 1 in the U.S. for 800 meters, is subsidizing his training with an eBay auction. The Oregon runner announced yesterday he plans to wear a temporary tattoo with the auction winner’s Twitter handle on his left shoulder.

He also promises to mention the Twitter name in interviews and will tweet a message of support for the auction winner on the first of every month during 2012 from his personal Twitter account, @nsymm800, which currently has over 4500 followers.

Right now there are 33 bids and the price stands at $1,076.

@heyitsmegan, what do you think, is it a good deal?
