Jelly Week! Wait, what is Jelly Week?!
According to the Worldwide Jelly Week website:
“WORLDWIDE #JELLYWEEK 2012 is a self-organized global gathering of people all around the planet. These gatherings are called jelly, that is a informal collaboration at a café, public place, office or coworking space.”
Basically, Jelly Week is a celebration of coworking, collaboration, and working with and around people doing awesome stuff. Personally, I think this is the best thing ever, but I’m not-so-secretly a big fan of coworking.
Jelly Week in New Orleans
Launch Pad, a coworking hub in the Warehouse District of New Orleans, is opening up it’s coworking space to anyone for free the week of January 16-22 to celebrate International Jelly Week. Launch Pad WILL be open on Monday, so if your office is closed come hang out with the LP Crew! They also have events lined up to keep it interesting and specials on permanent desks for people like me who can’t get enough coworking.
4.0 Schools is hosting coworkers in their awesome space on the 2nd floor, just above Launch Pad in Suite 201. They have giant bean bag chairs, chalkboard walls, and modeling clay. Show up & work around a group of folks working to disrupt education in New Orleans.
At 2:00 pm in the IP Whiteboard room, a free tasting of Guayaki Yerba Mate sparkling beverage will be offered. A new line of 12oz sparkling canned yerba mate beverages are launching in March, and they will have a first run of samples available for collecting feedback. To sample please rsvp to Katy (LP community manager), so sufficient samples will be available: email@example.com.
The weekly Tuesday hack night and Friday analytics group meetings will also be taking place as regularly scheduled. Check out Launch Pad on Facebook for more details on all of these events and current coworking specials. You can also call Katy at 504-267-9111 to schedule a tour.
