Scott Eric Olivier is a multi-instrumentalist and pioneer of digital audio technology who has worked with such recording artists as Michael Jackson, Van Halen, No Doubt, Chris Cornell, The Offspring, Evanescence and more.
While touring, Oliver created a file sharing portal called Laptop Roadie, which provided immediate access to large amounts of sensitive audio data wherever he was on tour. He soon realized Laptop Roadie could be used in a variety of other industries as well. In 2010, Olivier moved his primary residence back to his home state of Louisiana to focus on building Skyscraper Holding Company, an entity overseeing his various nonmusical investments and companies.
Scott serves on the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce Innovation Committee and in 2011, City-Parish President Joey Durel appointed Olivier to a board member position of FiberCorps, an organization dedicated to the advancement of fiber optics. Oliver was also named 2011 Entrepreneur of the Year by Acadiana Business magazine.
Creative Louisiana was founded in June 2011 and is based on the popular morning lecture series, Creative Mornings. For more information about Creative Louisiana, visit creativelouisiana.com.
