Baton Rouge was buzzing Thursday evening with a packed house at The Lyceum for the Baton Rouge Area Chamber‘s February Innovation Take-Out. After a brief set of announcements (including the 225 Fund officially rewarding Silicon Bayou with their February idea-funding for #SBTV), the main event began.
Elias Bizannes, founder of the StartupBus, spoke about his personal history, the history of the StartupBus, what it means to be an entrepreneur, and how he’s trying to help people make better businesses.
Martin Roth and Peter Bodenheimer, who have previously written about the StartupBus for SBN, were both present at the event.
We live-tweeted quotes and pictures of Elias’ talk and the stream is embedded here:

Perhaps the most impressive part of the evening was the unveiling of this promo video created by members of the Baton Rouge community for the StartupBus:
The Louisiana StartupBus will be conducted by Terry Jones. The bus is expected to originate in Baton Rouge and do a tour of the state before heading on to San Antonio and SXSWi. The team is still looking for sponsors, lodging during stops, and other resources for the buspreneurs. Contact terry@brac.org to get involved.
More details will be shared soon but in the meantime- be sure you have applied to be a buspreneur!
