2012 StartupBus America’s Competition Results

The StartupBus enabled about 60 teams on 11 buses to travel, create, and finalize a startup. The buses arrived in Austin on Friday for the beginning of SXSW. Not only did participants get a chance to be creative and innovative, but also competitive.

  5. Adventeur (NYC)
  6. Spott (Mexico)
  7. Cerealize (SV)
  8. Curious City (DC)

The StartupBus America’s Competition 1st place winner was Cerealize, a company which allows users to custom mix their own cereal and have it delivered right to their door. The runner up was BumperCrop, created to connect consumers to growers to make sharing, buying, and selling locally grown crops easier. One of Louisiana’s own companies, Scoringo, put up a good fight.

Scoringo was one of the five companies on the Louisiana StartupBus headed to Austin. Is is a live sports bingo game that allows friends to interact with one another during their favorite events. The company made it to the finals and has since received much praise. Todd Graves, Founder, Chairman & CEO of Raising Cane’s was quoted saying, “Scoringo offers Raising Cane’s the opportunity to target and engage our customers during a sporting event like never before with a novel and entertaining gaming platform.”

Two of the InfiniEDGE Software team members, Andy Bursavich (Application Developer) and Natalie Noel (COO), were on the Louisiana Startup Bus this year. CEO of InfiniEDGE Software, Czarina Walker, is a big supporter of the Louisiana Startup Bus because it, “not only creates an opportunity for our team to do something different to foster creativity, but also helps promote Louisiana in the process.”
