George Mauer will be instructing the new course, Js Nola, focused on introducing JavaScript programming to participants through discussion and a hands-on approach. Js Nola will run Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays April 16th – May 23rd, 2012 from 5:30 – 6:45 pm.

JavaScript is perhaps the most misunderstood, yet widely used language on almost every website on the web. Mauer, a web developer, company owner, and software consultant, will be answering questions for beginners as well as those who want to develop JavaScript skills and confidence to use in a professional environment. After over 22 hours of the course, participants will reach a point where they can develop large client-side applications.

Js Nola participants will learn about jQuery and basic HTML and CSS primer. The course will also be discussing libraries and techniques to keep a large codebase organized.
